Did you recently get your first mailing from AARP?  Are you currently retired and facing that time of life when there is no career plan?  Perhaps you are surprised to hear others refer to you as a “senior” or a part of “the older generation.”  Whatever your situation, join us as we explore Joan Chittister’s book,

The Gift of Years. 

This collection of inspirational reflections abounds in wonderful insights which explore the many aspects of aging: the purposes and concerns, the struggles and surprises, the potential and the joys.   Chittister, one of our most celebrated spiritual writers, accomplishes this task in short chapters pondering such topics as regret, wisdom, nostalgia and many more.

Our discussions will be facilitated by longtime parishioner Barb Miller, who serves our community as a lector, a minister of care and the coordinator of our Bible Study program.  There will be three sessions Wednesdays: April 25, May 2 and May 9, from 10:30 a.m.  – noon in Cornelius Hall.
