Adult Confirmation

Baptized, catechized adults over the age of 18 are confirmed by our Bishop Ronald Hicks. The celebration is held each spring at St. Raymond’s Cathedral in Joliet. A series of  four catechetical sessions are held at the parish to prepare individuals for the sacrament. Contact: Joanne Sanders at (630) 289-5400 ext. 217.

Spiritual Formation Commission

The purpose of the Spiritual Formation Commission is to provide opportunities for spiritual formation that foster an awareness and understanding of our Catholic Faith and of the Mission of God’s people to live the Gospel values. Spiritual formation opportunities are available to the entire faith community including families, children, youth, and adults. Gathering monthly, the Commission envisions formation that will result in a faith-filled, spiritual community.

Members of the Spiritual Formation Commission are dedicated to advising staff and helping to provide for the spiritual formation of the entire parish by offering opportunities that foster a deeper understanding of our faith and our call to participate in the mission of the Church.

Bible Study

Bible Study sessions are offered in the fall and spring. There are usually 5-6 classes per semester focused on one book of the Bible or a particular theme. Through prayer and discussion, adults learn more about the bible and encounter Christ in transforming ways. For immediate information, Contact Joanne Sanders at (630) 289-5400 ext. 217.

Youth Ministry

Middle School and High School Youth are invited to become active participants in Youth Ministry. This group meets outside of Youth Faith Formation classes, putting their faith into action to benefit others with their time, talents, and treasure. Through spiritual programs such as retreats, leadership conferences, mission camp offerings, the Lenten Parish Mission, the Holy Thursday Church Crawl, Joliet Youth Day, our youth are encouraged to further explore their faith and live as disciples of Jesus Christ.  In the words of Blessed Carlo Acutis (1991-2006), “everyone is born as an original, but many people end up dying as photocopies.”
