An Advent Morning of Reflection for Women
Each day we are engulfed by images and stories of division, uncertainty, violence, and fear in the world. Closer to home, we witness the difficulties and losses of our families and friends along with our own crosses. How are we to live without losing hope?
This Advent, the readings from the prophet Isaiah have a rich message of hope in troubled times. These scriptures, coupled with the other seasonal readings, point us to the answer. Our hope lies in keeping our eyes on Jesus – Emmanuel – God with us!
Our presenter, Chris Grano from Mayslake Ministries, is a certified Spiritual Director, trained in Christian lay counseling and inner healing prayer. She is also an accomplished musician and singer. Through scripture, song, prayer, and sharing, Chris will invite us to live into this message of hope.
The morning includes a hot breakfast featuring scrambled eggs, quiche, French toast, bacon, sausage, brunch potatoes, and fruit salad catered by Brunch Café.
The $10.00 cost per person must be paid in advance no later than Monday, November 25.
