Summer VBS highlights...thanks, God!
SCUBA, Diving into Friendship with God was an amazing Vacation Bible School 2024 success! Fr. Tri’s opening prayer encouraged every participant to allow the Holy Spirit to work deep within through living waters to have a better understanding of the presence of Jesus as our friend each day. Thanks, God!
During the week, the four Fish Crews were made up of 46 children and 23 youth Crew Leaders. Seventeen adult, young adult and youth Station Leaders encouraged greater understanding for Jesus as a friend in daily life with prayer. Three Resurrection volunteer-friends arrived to join us from the East Coast and Arizona! Thanks, God!
Scripture from the Gospel of John helped each of us know a greater love for what friendship with Jesus is about. Through the stories and actions of Sticky Scripture Crafts, Reef Rec Games, Deep Bible Adventures Drama, Imagination Station Science, and Tidal Treats Snacks our hearts, minds and souls were nourished each day. Thanks, God!
Our new appreciation for God sightings was strengthened each day by the energy and excitement of praise and worship songs and our faith and actions. The dolphins, jelly fish, turtles, fish, and starfish cards are on display in the Marvin Hall Narthex for the rest of summer. Please be sure to visit the bulletin board to see our accomplishments. Thanks, God!
We felt the prayers and many kindnesses of our Resurrection family each day! From the fabulous scenery that was designed by children and youth volunteers and their families, to the items collected for experiments, arts & crafts, and games, to the candy and chips provided during snack time with the ingredients for Crunch Coral, Ocean in Motion, Seal Snack, Bubble Bites, we all say Thank, God! and Sea Food Snacks that our Resurrection Parishioners donated! Thanks, God!
The Core Planning Team of Leata Lawniczak, Sandy Vedrine, Angela Lomonaco, and Char McCarthy invite you to join us next summer as we look forward to VBS 2025 with TRUE NORTH, Trusting Jesus in a Wild World. Meanwhile, see photos of our adventures on our social media pages. Thanks, God!
