Come together for a Book Discussion on
Wednesdays, May 8, 15, 22, from 10 a.m.-NOON
in Cornelius Hall
We will study:
BEING MORTAL...Medicine and What Matters in the End by Atul Gawande noted Surgeon and Harvard medical professor.
A must-read for all, the book analyzes the present landscape of end of life care and provides examples of both the good as well as the bad. The author tells us that as a society we can do much better for the elderly and the dying.
BEING MORTAL is available on Amazon-soft-cover, $12.95. Also readily found in your libraries and book stores. However, Joanne Sanders is offering to order for you, since she has Prime-$12.50/each.
If interested, call Joanne at the office, ext. 217. Order must be placed by April 22.
Do consider the opportunity to reflect upon not only how we face death, but also to understand the available care for all long-term care facilities, assisted and independent living for the elderly and/or disabled.
