On Sunday, November 13, join us in Marvin Hall after the 10:30 Mass when Tom McGrath, Director of Trade Books at Loyola Press, will tell the fascinating story behind the making of the New York Times best-selling book by and for children, Dear Pope Francis:  Pope Francis Answers Questions of Children Around the World.

You will hear how the initial idea for the book came to be, how Loyola Press found a way to get the idea before Pope Francis (who offered a quick and enthusiastic “YES”), and how the team managed the miracle of organizing dozens of Jesuits and their lay associates from Australia to Zimbabwe to gather unfiltered questions from children 6-13.

Tom will also share the lessons he learned working with Pope Francis, traveling with a dozen of the 30 children whose letters made it into the book, and reading the heartfelt letters from 100s of children around the world.

Stop by after Mass for this 45 minute presentation and enjoy yet another example of Pope Francis’ ability to welcome, surprise and embody mercy in this Jubilee Year of Mercy.   Books will be available for sale – the perfect gift for Christmas, a birthday, First Communion or Baptism.
