Liturgy
Lectors
Purpose/Mission Statement
"Readers exercise a genuine liturgical function. They ought, therefore, to discharge their office with sincere piety and decorum demanded by so exalted a ministry and rightly expected by God's people. Consequently, they must all be imbued with the spirit of the liturgy...and they must be trained to preform their functions in a correct and orderly manner." (Constitution of the Sacred Liturgy #29)
Liturgy Planners
Purpose/Mission Statement
Liturgy planners prepare the liturgical seasons so the assembly will deepen their faith and go forth "to love and serve the Lord." These ministers make seasonal decisions for the environment and movement, as well as some music and prayers. These decisions are always rooted in Sacred Scripture.
Ministers of Hospitality (Ushers)
Purpose/Mission Statement
As we read in Paul's letter to the Hebrews: "Do not neglect to show hospitality, for by that means some have entertained angels without knowing it." (13:1-2)
Pastoral Care
In carrying compassion and communion to the sick, the homebound and the hospitalized, ministers of care unite those people to the parish at large. In addition, pastoral care ministers provide quality time and companionship to those who most need it.

"The beauty and utility of a place of worship can be sustained only by an ongoing, careful attention to its upkeep through regular maintenance." (Built of Living Stones #219)
