The Anointing of the Sick is celebrated immediately following all three weekend Masses. The reception of this sacrament is for baptized Catholics who are seriously ill; those about to undergo surgery; people notably weakened by age; those suffering chronic disease; those dealing with mental or spiritual illness. Children may receive if they have sufficient use of reason to be strengthened by the sacrament.
