May Crowning

Jesus said, “Whatever you do for my least brothers and sisters, you do it for me.” (Mt. 25:40)

In June I will have an opportunity to return to Vietnam for my nephew’s wedding.  Some of you may know that I came from a poor village, where most of the people in my village are farmers.  These people struggle daily with finding food for their families.  When I was sixteen years old, I decided to leave Vietnam.  I did not want to continue living in extreme poverty with no hope for my future.  My journey to the United States began, along with my promise to bring most of my family to the United States.

I would like to take this opportunity to ask you for your financial help for the people in my village, who still struggle with extreme poverty on a daily basis.  White donation envelopes will be available for your contribution and may be found on the tables outside the church doors in the narthex.  Checks may be made payable to Resurrection and are tax-deductible charitable contributions, which will be noted in your contribution record here at the Parish.

Your kindness and generosity in helping the people of my village is much appreciated.

God Bless,

Father Tri
